How we help
Hanging out on the driveway or at the basketball court, staying up late reading or texting friends, making movie plans… being a student sure is fun. Things start getting a bit more serious as you get closer to college, though. It’s all “What do you want to do next?” and “Where do you see yourself five years from now?” then onwards. And you wonder if there’s an easy way of making the transition. Our response? Yes, there is.
One Step Up will work with you right from Class 9 onwards and paint a picture of all the professions in the real world, match them with your aptitude and interests and prep you for your college admissions and work life. Who says things will get harder as you grow older?
We share a common goal: to ensure that your child can give wings to the potential within, personally and professionally. One Step Up’s services are created and constantly upgraded to help young adults find their true calling in a world saturated with professional choices, and help shape them into individuals capable of tackling anything that comes their way.
We start by introducing your child to various career options, in Class 9. An aptitude test follows in Class 10, with dedicated parent-child sessions to discuss test results and next steps. Class 11 and 12 programmes help zoom in on specific career choices, subjects to be studied and admissions assistance. And we maintain open communication with you throughout, so we can work together to do what is right by your child.
We know the enormous responsibility you shoulder as an educational institution. Allow us to ease some of it with our faculty of experienced counsellors who will add to the excellent guidance your teachers and counsellors provide, through our range of career counselling and life skills programmes. Each programme is accompanied with analytics that help you align your academic preparations to match student goals. We also send alerts to school counsellors and heads on admissions and related queries.
Our programmes go beyond just students – we conduct parent and teacher training sessions as well. This way, the school can be personally invested in the future of every student, without the additional responsibility.
